Hiya, Are you going to be making a another write-up? My husband and me have passed some time looking over your web-site and surprisingly enough you touched on some thing i was referring to only the other day with our son's football coach. We quite often find ourselves arguing over the smallest of points, isn't it silly?

It's sad that no one is lamenting the end of the Jake Voskuhl era in Toronto. What a hero.

I'm with you on the Rasho signing. He's got the kind of heady game that allows him to be very effective even though he's old and slow-footed. Not meant to be a backhanded compliment - the guy has a very, very high basketball IQ and is the perfect backup centre for this team. Signing him for the bi-annual exception? Very nice move.

As for Pops - from the outside I'd say there is still a small chance he could come back - I predict the Raps will dump a guard, opening up a roster spot. There's no need to start the season with Banks, Douby, and Ukic. This isn't to say that Pops is even on BC's radar at this point, or even that the Raptors are the best option for Pops - with Reggie Evans here, a few dominoes would likely have to fall for Pops to see the floor consistently.

[...] Heels on Hardwood I liked the Rasho deal with the Spurs and I like it even better this time around. This move isn’t going to make headlines outside of Toronto, but Rasho brings to the table a lot of the intangibles that went missing last season. He is the definition of a “know your role” player. A perfect compliment to backup Bargnani at C – Doesn’t demand the ball on offense, rebounds well, can hit the occasional jumper and plays defence. My only concern would be having him and Evans on the floor at the same time as the front line on the second unit (hopefully won’t happen since Jay has shown a lot more competence with his rotations than the Smitch).
