When It Rains It Pours… Get Well CB4

Barely 48 hours after a crushing loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Toronto Raptors took another blow.

Visions of a emotional Chris Bosh down on the ground after a missed shot fresh in my head, I stared at my TV in disbelief. Just 2 minutes into the daunting task of trying to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chris Bosh had once again crumbled onto the court. This time though, it was a physical pain that had him writhing on the floor as blood gushed from his nose.

It all happened so quickly. An errant elbow from Antwan Jamison left the Raptors franchise player with a maxilla and nasal fracture to the right side of his face. Translation — ouch!

The rest of the game was a blur as the team hung in tough but an entire fanbase held their collective breaths. My twitter feed was blowing up with each person describing how they felt. The tears that I held back when Bosh missed the shot v/s Golden State welled up in my eyes at the thought that this may have been the last time Chris donned a Raptor jersey.

This is not how it is supposed to end. After 7 years of blood, sweat and tears poured into this team, I want to believe he needs to finish it on his terms.

A playoff push and an uncertain future become secondary at times like this. Afterall, that is just a game while this is about a young mans health. So get well soon Chris and the game will be there for you when you are ready.
