I would take Nike's over Manolo's any day! Some may think of it as an obsession, I think of it as simply; for the love of the game...

Heyyy Woorrrld: Dwight Howard does his best Chuck

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Fans of the NBA have grown to love the personality that Dwight Howard exudes. He takes the time to connect with his fans on multiple platforms and doesn’t make it look like a job. He is having fun with it and last night was an example of him doing just that. He was on air with the TNT crew and busted out his best Charles Barkley impression.

H/T: Ball Don’t Lie

This is not the first time he has gone on camera with one of his impersonations…

We have seen him do his best Stan Van Gundy

His best Shaq

All this got me thinking… Who else would I want to see Dwight impersonate? Here are my suggestions, feel free to leave yours in the comments

The NBA – Where Halloween Costumes Happen [Cartoon]

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Ian will be a regular contributor on Heels on Hardwood going forward. He originally began by winning a contest to Photoshop Charlie Villanueva with hair that turned into this and has since been working on multiple animations involving the Raptors. I am really excited to have him on board so look out for more original stuff coming up in the future.

A little background…

During the so called “off-season”, I relied on Twitter to get my basketball fix. Along the way I came across @Vulcanoboy who had won a contest run by Charlie Villanueva. We get to talking and he informs me that he is a cartoonist in his down time. With that said, I came up with the idea to run a series introducing the Toronto Raptors and here is the start of what I hope becomes something epic. The plan is to have the Raptors staring 5 introduced and if all goes well we will try to bring you once each month recapping how the team does on the court.
